container garden - vertical garden

Container gardens are starting to become more and more popular because they are great for people who do not have adequate space to grow plants in a big backyard. Container gardens require much less space than a traditional garden and they also can be placed at a height so you avoid bending. There are all different shapes and sizes of containers that you can use depending on what plants you are trying to grow. • You can contact the ISU Extension for more information on growing in small containers.
  • Anyone is capable of growing vegetables anywhere, including in apartments.

“You can use a variety of flowerpots or larger containers, such as large plastic buckets, or build raised bed gardens.”
