5 Tips for Growing Basil in Containers

Basil is one of the most well-known herb today and is used to add flavor in meals and/or provide other health benefits. To put it simply, it’s one of the most useful and beautiful herbs that you can grow in your container garden. However, it isn’t the easiest of plants to grow.

Below are some tips to help you:

  1. Find a sunny spot
  2. Choose the right container (make sure to have a suitable drainage system, and use high-quality potting soil)
  3. Start from seed
  4. Don’t water too much
  5. Pinch your basil back often for it to grow bushy instead of tall and lanky.
