Basic Equipment for a Container Garden

June 2, 2020 By Myls Sedurifa Leave a Comment

Container gardening is especially convenient not only because it doesn’t require a lot of garden space, but also because it doesn’t require those big equipment used in traditional gardening. For this method, you only need a few hand tools, and they will last you forever. The ultimate rule that you have to remember when picking tools is to simply buy the best you can afford, and keep them well.

As a minimum, you’ll need the following:

  • Secateurs
  • Hand fork and hand trowel
  • Dibber
  • Hand rake
  • Hand shears
  • Garden knife
  • Pruning knife and saw (optional)
  • Watering can
  • Spray
  • Additional: wire, vine eyes, hammer, bolts, ring eyes, screws and various nails, for a wire frame
