Tips for Better Pruning

June 22, 2020 By Myls Sedurifa Leave a Comment

If you want a sustainable and successful garden, then you have to consistently prune your plants from time to time. By cutting off dead, diseased, and damaged growth, you get to ensure your plant’s health and vigorousness—improving air circulation and reducing pest and/or disease occurrences—without needing harmful sprays.

Tips for better pruning:

  1. Use the right tool for the job
  2. Look after your pruning tools
  3. Cut at the correct distance
  4. Get the angle right
  5. Prune to an outward-facing bud
  6. Cut back weak growth
  7. Improve air circulation
  8. Thin out problem branches
